🌿 Golden Garlic-Herb Chicken Delight
🍗 Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Juice of half a lemon
🔥 Instructions:
1. Infuse the Flavor
In a small bowl, mix the garlic, thyme, paprika, black pepper, salt, lemon zest, and olive oil into a paste. Rub this mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes for better flavor.
2. Sear to Perfection
Heat a skillet (preferably non-stick or cast iron) over medium heat. Place the chicken in the pan and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until a golden crust forms. Reduce heat if it browns too fast.
3. Steam-Finish for Juiciness
Add 2 tablespoons of water or chicken broth to the pan, cover with a lid, and lower the heat. Let it cook gently for another 6–8 minutes, or until the inside is cooked through (internal temp: 74°C / 165°F).
4. Freshen It Up
Just before serving, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken and garnish with parsley or mint if desired
